Description
Artist’s Biography/Statement:
When I think of choice when it comes to reproductive rights, I think about each woman I know whose had to make the choice: the one whose child lost its heartbeat at twenty weeks; my friend who got pregnant in the wrong place at the wrong time; my miscarriage; the innumerable situations of each of us. The related laws MUST include flexibility for each individual case – this will never be a black and white issue. I represent this with varying shades of gray, holding up bold checkboxes for the viewer to “choose”, the last one seeming as though it’s melting away.
