In my current body of work, I am creating surreal portrait paintings with acrylic and oil media. The individual, bodily forms and the organic aesthetics of nature are recurring themes in my work. I aim to evoke a depth of emotion by creating dream-like environments surrounding my portraits. These environments include patterns and forms that blend into the figure. There is always an element of transition and flow within each piece, and my paintings fluidly breathe out the energy of my subjects. I am inspired by the evolving narrative of individuals and the continuum happening between change.
