Cartoonist Jack Kirby, co-creator of Captain America, the X-Men & so many other comic book heroes, fought fascism in his work and in his life. Through his comic book stories, he exposed readers to the dangers of totalitarianism represented in villains like the Red Skull and the life-destroying Annihilus, characters I think would happily wear hairpieces to show solidarity with a certain like-minded politician. Drafted during WW II, Kirby landed on Omaha Beach shortly after D-Day; once his lieutenant learned of his art skills, Kirby was assigned the dangerous work of a scout, advancing into Nazi-controlled areas to draw recon maps for the duration of his time in the Army.
